Circuit Sage AI
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Circuit Sage AI handles information. Privacy questions may be sent to davidadraper@proton.me.
Information handled by the app
Circuit Sage AI does not create user accounts and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information through a developer-operated server.
The six guided circuit-analysis methods run locally in the app. If a user chooses the optional AI image-analysis feature, the selected circuit image, analysis instructions, and the user-provided OpenAI API key are transmitted directly to OpenAI over HTTPS. OpenAI processes that request under its own terms and privacy policy.
API keys and local data
The user-provided OpenAI API key is held in app memory only for the current session and is cleared when the app closes. Circuit images are selected only when the user requests analysis. The app does not upload the key or image to the developer.
Retention and deletion
The developer retains no account or cloud data because the app provides neither accounts nor developer-operated cloud storage. Closing the app clears the in-memory API key. Users may remove local app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
Security
Optional AI requests use HTTPS. Users should protect their OpenAI API key, restrict its permissions and spending limit where available, and avoid submitting images containing unrelated sensitive information.
Children
The app is an engineering education utility and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
